Product Description
The QD universal overhead crane, manufactured by Chunhua Crane (Hefei Chunhua Hoisting Machinery, China, founded 2003), is a heavy-duty industrial bridge crane designed for continuous material handling in demanding production environments. This crane serves as the primary lifting solution for steel mills, power plants, machine shops, and logistics centers where reliability and precise load control are non-negotiable. Its core strength lies in its modular engineering, which allows for both standard configurations and fully customized solutions while maintaining structural integrity under continuous duty cycles.
The QD series offers a rated capacity range from 3 metric tons to 150 metric tons, with standard spans from 7.5 meters to 31.5 meters and lifting heights from 6 meters to 30 meters. The crane is available in both single-girder and double-girder configurations, with the double-girder design being standard for capacities above 20 tons to ensure optimal load distribution and reduced deflection. The main girder is fabricated from Q235B or Q345B steel, with a box-type welded structure that undergoes shot blasting and anti-corrosion treatment. All electrical components are sourced from top-tier global suppliers, with Schneider Electric and Siemens as standard options for the control system, offering IP54 protection and thermal overload protection for all motors. Travel mechanisms feature frequency inverters for smooth acceleration and deceleration, reducing mechanical stress and load swing. Control options include pendant handle control with 24V low-voltage safety circuit, wireless remote control with range up to 100 meters, and fully enclosed cockpit operation with air conditioning and ergonomic seating for operator comfort. Safety devices include overload limiters, emergency stop switches, buffer stops at both ends of the runway, anti-collision systems for multi-crane installations, and audible travel alarms. Optional features include variable frequency drives for all motions, magnet control for scrap handling, explosion-proof configurations for hazardous environments, and corrosion-resistant coatings for marine or chemical applications. The crane is designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T 3811 and GB/T 14405 Chinese national standards, and can be certified to FEM 1.001, DIN 15018, or CMAA 70 specifications upon request.
This crane is deployed across a wide range of heavy industries. In steel mills, it handles molten metal ladles, coils, and scrap bins with heat-resistant options and dual-hoist configurations. In power plants, it services turbine halls and boiler areas with precise positioning for maintenance tasks. Warehouses and logistics centers use the QD for container handling and heavy pallet movement, often integrated with warehouse management systems. Machine shops and fabrication facilities rely on it for moving dies, molds, and large workpieces between machining centers. Port and shipyard applications include ship block assembly and cargo handling, where the crane can be fitted with spreader beams or magnetic lifters. The QD is also widely used in cement plants, paper mills, and automotive assembly lines where uptime and load accuracy are critical to production flow.
Chunhua Crane offers direct factory pricing that typically undercuts European and Japanese brands by 30 to 50 percent, without compromising on component quality or engineering standards. As a manufacturer with two decades of export experience, we hold both CE certification and China Compulsory Certification (CCC) for applicable models, and we routinely provide third-party inspection reports from SGS or Bureau Veritas upon request. Our in-house engineering team handles all non-standard customization, including special spans, high-temperature environments, and integration with existing runway systems. We respond to technical inquiries with a detailed quotation and preliminary CAD drawing within four hours during business hours. Our logistics network ships to over 60 countries via major Chinese ports including Shanghai and Ningbo, with full container loads or break-bulk shipping options depending on crane size.
To initiate an order, contact us via WhatsApp or email with your required capacity, span, lifting height, and preferred control type. Our engineering team will prepare a technical proposal and quotation with CAD layout drawing within four hours. Upon acceptance, we require a 30 percent T/T deposit to begin production, with the balance due before shipment. Standard production lead time is 30 to 45 days depending on complexity and current factory load. We handle all sea freight arrangements, including container loading supervision and export documentation. Optional on-site installation and commissioning services are available through our network of regional service partners, with training provided for your maintenance team.
